About Me

Becoming a parent was everything I had dreamed of, but it was also far harder than I ever expected.

When my first baby was born, we came home from hospital facing feeding challenges almost immediately. Those early days felt like a blur of feeding, expressing milk, worrying, and surviving on very little sleep. My son lost weight and was readmitted to hospital, and I found myself desperately trying to do everything possible to help him whilst running on empty.

When we finally returned home, the challenges continued. I developed a severe case of mastitis and ended up back in hospital myself for three days. Looking back now, I can see just how physically and emotionally drained I was. I remember feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and constantly questioning whether I was doing enough.

As the months went on, sleep became another struggle. Like so many parents, I spent countless nights awake, wondering if things would ever get easier. I loved my children deeply, but I also missed feeling like myself. I missed having the energy to enjoy family life rather than simply getting through each day.

Over time, I learned how powerful healthy sleep habits can be—not just for children, but for parents too. Better sleep brought more patience, more confidence and more enjoyment back into our family life. It helped me realise that supporting parents through sleep challenges was something I felt genuinely passionate about.

Alongside my own experiences as a mum, I have spent more than 20 years working as a primary school teacher, supporting children and families with patience, empathy and understanding. Today, through Feather & Sleep, I combine those personal and professional experiences to help families create calmer nights, happier days and a more balanced family life.

How I Can Help

If you're feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and unsure what to try next, you're not alone.

Many of the families I support are mums who are juggling work, family life, household responsibilities and the mental load that comes with parenting. They're often running on very little sleep whilst trying to be everything to everyone. They crave a little more predictability, a little more rest and a little more time to enjoy family life.

My approach is called Comforting Through Change™ . Rather than using rigid methods or expecting parents to leave their child to cry alone, I use gradual, responsive techniques that support children as they learn new sleep skills. Every plan is tailored to your child's temperament, developmental stage and your family's values.

When we work together, you'll receive personalised guidance, ongoing reassurance and practical strategies you can confidently implement at home. I know how vulnerable it can feel asking for help with your child's sleep, so my aim is always to make you feel supported, understood and never judged.

Most importantly, I want you to know that improving sleep doesn't mean changing who you are as a parent. My role is to help you make gentle changes that feel comfortable, achievable and sustainable, so your whole family can enjoy more restful nights and calmer days.
